I had my first round of mini sessions for my Senior Spokesmodels in Williamsport and they were AMAZING! I got to try out some new lighting techniques, and I love the results! I had a fun little contest for the girls, and Kayla was the winner. She will be featured in my new Senior Product Magazine for 2013. Way to go Kayla!!

One day our family was going on a drive through the state gamelands, (a favorite pastime of ours that has become a rare treat due to gas prices). We had to stop and get gas on the way, and of course a snack for the kiddos. So my hubby went into Sheetz as the gas was pumping and came out with two bags of chips. I had never seen them before, and was skeptical because they were Kettle Cooked (which I’m usually not crazy about- I’d prefer NOT to chip my teeth while munching on chips). We sent one bag back for the kids to share, and my curiosity got the best of me so I had to try one from the other bag. Oh my- they were soooo good! The crunch was perfect! The way they chips were cut and curled were and seasoned- spot on. I have found myself making excuses to stop at Sheetz just so I can pick up another bag. They’re called Dirty Potato Chips, and I HIGHLY recommend the Sour Cream & Onion. I’ve become such a fan, that I do believe I would choose these over a past favorite of mine, Cool Ranch Dorritos. She’s a Survivor

A while ago I started attending a local women’s business networking group held at the West Shore Country Club on the 5th Wednesday of the month. Through this group I’ve met two amazing women- Tania and Abeer. They are sister’s and it seemed that they do so much volunteer work I couldn’t imagine how they had time for anything else! When I found out Tania was running for Woman of the Year through The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, I knew I wanted to help in any way I could. It is my personal belief that if God blesses you with a gift, you should use that gift to help other people. Through Tania I was able to connect with the boy and girl of the year (from the LLS). They are both AMAZING children, and I have been so blessed in being able to spend a little bit of time with them. I just did Ashley’s photo session and asked her mom, Elaine if she would like to share her story.

As a mom, it is your worst nightmare to imagine something happening to your child. I simply can not imagine the pain of seeing a child go through cancer. It is my hope that sharing Ashley’s story will bring comfort to other parent’s going through a similar situation.
